Yep - but not showing up on main site. But great news for GB if he has been, although he was been done for doping, and yada yada mitigating circumstances - but Therapeutic use exemption is what Lance Armstrong had after failing a test, so it's a quandary.

I think he's been awarded the time +3:30 from Steve Cummings, but keeps his place at which he crossed the finish line (74th), meaning he moves up to 2nd overall and takes the white jersey. Re: Simon Yates, I thought it had been cleared up and although it *technically* was doping, he should have been granted an exception - but Orica forgot to do the paperwork. Hence only the 4month ban. |

Whaat a great stage today. Made up for Cummings, especially as he's in my teams. Just re-joined the KOM league, I'm at the top!

That's better, earlier I was 240 out of 2200 odd nationwide but bottom of the league! In the main league I've finally lost second and been swallowed by the chasing pack. Oranj is still leading. Today looks brutal but might be another breakaway day if the favourites save themselves for tomorrow. |

I wondered why they (the faves) hadn't attacked yesterday. So I got the program out and browsed the third week and went "bloody hell, that's why they're not attacking". When Ventoux is just the hors d'oeuvres, I see totally why no-one attacked, and why no-one will attack again today particularly with the Tourmalet is far too early in the stage to do a proper sort out. I'd agree another breakaway day. Of course I'll be wrong now, but the summit finishes interspersed with nasty time trials will be the race deciders I suspect.

Yes that's why I've said anyone within a couple of minutes (maybe even three minutes) can win if they have the form in the third week. It's also why Froome has been aiming for a late peak which will make tomorrow interesting as I'd normally expect him to put the hammer down. I'd forgotten that Quintana actually lost the tour due to crosswinds last year as he was faster overall than Froome in the mountains. |
