flanker May 2009 2:32pm, 18 May 2009 10,534 posts	0 flanker I think 12 hours will be a good target for an experienced distance fell runner with good navigational skills and knowledge of the route. I'm seriously considering it, but knowing the terrain reasonably well, would be happy with anything under 16.
May 2009 2:48pm, 18 May 2009 1,031 posts	0 I think I'd be happy with that time too Flanker. I don't know any of the route but have now realised that the Garburn trail race is on part of the route so hoping to do some more running around that area the day after Garburn.
flanker May 2009 3:52pm, 18 May 2009 10,535 posts	0 flanker now there's an idea.... Although if it's going over Garburn Pass I might well change my estimate to 20 hrs! Also it says the final cut-off is 12pm. I suspect that is at the final CP rather than the finish, so they could well be expecting people to take over 24 hrs.
May 2009 4:00pm, 18 May 2009 1,032 posts	0 Think it does go over Garburn pass as one of the checkpoints is Kentmere town hall, which is on the Garburn trail race course. Next checkpoint is Ambleside (Lakes runner shop)
