Mink Alert- South Leigh

Last night, whilst we were driving through South Leigh, we slowed down to avoid a sweet looking, young cat.
As we pulled away we realised that there was a wild mink on the opposite side of the road. He ran along the road, and disappeared into the hedgerow.
Mink are carnivores, and will attack a cat, or small dog, duck, birds etc.
Please be careful in the area, try to keep your cats and especially small dogs inside after dark, if you can.
They look like sweet creatures, but they cause havoc!

I live in a low rise flat at the top, and every day I seem to get thousands of migets. Is there any way I can avoid this please.?? It's mainly in the evening.
