Also, re: runderwear - the main perk I've found is that they don't feel soggy. If you're going to exert yourself a bit and won't have the option to get changed afterwards, that's nice to know. I'm not sure it's worth the money, though, compared with cheaper options like under armour panties, though. I think you can get three UA pants for a single pair of Runderwear. I would, however, warn against shock absorber pants, no matter how much I swear by the ultimate run bra. They have a gusset seam in exactly the wrong place, and it's surprisingly unignorable.
