it was good up until 6.5 miles when my legs started getting tired. But I got 10 miles out of them.

A rather slow 8 miler this evening with two friends and a greyhound. Slower than usual because of the route through several fields, styles (the dog doesn't do styles so needs lots of coaxing), locks and weirs. One of us, not the dog or my two friends needed to stop for a pee. A little frustrating as it was to be so slow, it was also very rewarding to have a gentle run and chat with friends. I don't do it often enough.

I've been rating my runs out of 10 for the last couple of years--based on the total experience, not just pace/time but how it all felt. Now and again I get a really sh**** run score but thankfully those are rare! Today's run in balmy conditions was a 6/10!!

11 miles as a pre Oxford Half long run. I had a lift to Parkrun and after running and being scanned ran back home. The first time that I've run this far since my last half in 2012.
