Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.

Which is an annoying way of saying that provided you wear enough to stop hypothermia etc, the temperature could probably go down a long long way before running becomes physically impossible (which is pretty much the only thing that stops us...). There probably is a minimum temperature at which your lungs can process air, but as people manage to walk to the South Pole I wouldn't be too concerned just yet.

I certainly wouldn't measure it by your perception of what passengers in cars may be thinking about you.

Health and Safety for schools say that once it is -10 or below you need to be particularly careful of children playing outside but I don't know about adults.

It's usually the lazy people who do no exercise that think your mad and will throw funny looks. Wouldn't worry about it. Wrap up and head out :-)

I've been out when it's minus 8 for a run. The water in my Camelbak tube froze in under a mile and I stopped at my in-laws to thaw out for 20 minutes half way around the 16 miles I ran that day!

Also what Carlos said. No such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. Wrap up well!
