Joopsy, your thighs are just congratulating you on a fantastic run :) and at the same time saying to you 'don't forget who got you to the end' Thighs like an acknowledgement for their efforts ;)

now, did I remember to bet on you?

My thighs are feeling it today t3d. Thing is I was going to go for a run at 5am today and they felt okay, I opted for a lie in and now I am struggling. I will get them back out tomorrow, they do like a bit of fresh air!

Good effort mate, I felt great last night too and thought i should go for a lunch time bimble today. I am glad I left my running kit at home. My calf's are a little tight. Time for some desk bound stretching exercises :)

And for the record. I did bet on you so through your efforts I win. I like it when that happens.

Yay- EP! I just build on my base for NY, hoping to add a bit of speed/tempo for flm myself!
Knee is holding up ok, to a quick mince from my mothers house back here( all of 100 metres!) as it was raining, so hoping it is on the mend and I can resume HRM next week.

Everything you need to know about training with a heart rate monitor. Remember the motto "I can maintain a fast pace over the race distance because I am an Endurance God". Mind the trap door....

Gobi lurks here, but for his advice you must first speak his name. Ask and you shall receive.

A quote:

"The area between the top of the aerobic threshold and anaerobic threshold is somewhat of a no mans land of fitness. It is a mix of aerobic and anaerobic states. For the amount of effort the athlete puts forth, not a whole lot of fitness is produced. It does not train the aerobic or anaerobic energy system to a high degree. This area does have its place in training; it is just not in base season. Unfortunately this area is where I find a lot of athletes spending the majority of their seasons, which retards aerobic development. The athletes heart rate shoots up to this zone with little power or speed being produced when it gets there." Matt Russ, US International Coach
