I have done a search for this but there doesn't seem to be any recent discussions. I am in need of a head torch and would like any recommendation please. I would be using it off road and in country lanes so need a decent brightness. Thanks in advance |

Get one from Alpkit £15 and worth every penny. Lightweight, reliable and bright.

I use a Petzl Nao, brilliant but expensive at around £120.

Not a head torch but I can definitely recommend the Decathlon chest torch http://www.decathlon.co.uk/run-light-id_8283426.html. Have used it on and off road.

Another vote for Alpkit. I have two Gammas; they are fab.

I've just got my second torch from alpkit alpkit.com - highly recommend - have been using Alpkit since in 2012 for night time hill running. The Viper also has a pair of red LEDs which are helpful in keeping night vision when out on the hills

Surely a Cyclops has to have a headtorch, a big light right in the middle of your forehead?
