Outdoor drying season for many coming to an end sadly I guess. We’re entering the ‘is it worth pegging out’? time of the year. I guess there’ll always be the ‘bigger it, I’ve washed and it’s going out til it is dry’ faction mind - kind of the laundry equivalent of wild swimmers or fell runners

Line-dried washing that’s been out on a sunny crisp autumn or winter day is wonderful. That lovely fresh airy ozone smell YEEEEESSSSSS!!

I love it when the laundry freezes on the line. Reminds me of the bit in the Little House on the Prairie books when they put the sheets out to dry in winter and have to bring them in frozen like boards. And then I give thanks that I have central heating and a washing machine and no mangle
