Being old and taking longer to recover from sessions, I've already started my marathon training to give me a longer gentler build up, with less chance of breaking down. ;-)

I'm in for this which will be my second Manchester after deferring 2015 due to injury. Training starts a week on Monday and looking forward to it, come back to me on that mid January!

Stop all this talk of plans. It's scaring me.

If things go to plan, we may be living only a handful of miles from the start by then, so really had to give it a shot!

No, not yet PeeG, but start preparing yourself for next week ! Although if following P&D then Monday's are rest days, so you can wait until Tuesday :-)

Can I start P&D on Monday and then decide Monday night it is too much mileage and change to a programme with Tuesday's as rest days? ;-)

So 18-week training schedules start TODAY (with a rest day if you're P&D-ing)... everybody excited about the challenges ahead? Everybody fit and raring to go?

I've had a decent base building phase for the past couple of months, but have been struck down with illness for the past two days. Despite wanting to really get on with the marathon focused training I've surprised myself by taking the sensible decision to delay it for a few days :-(

Yep ready and raring to go!

Also spent the past month or so building the miles back up and am ready for the challenge ahead.

Following the 18 week P&D plan too so will be doing 20 mins of yoga tonight to keep things loose.
