Sorry to resurrect this thread yet again but I had an email today apologising for the delay in getting my age prize trophy to me! This was a bit of a shock as I thought (and the results confirm) that I was second in my age category. I've emailed back asking them to check - much as I would love my first trophy ever to be for a marathon, I don't want to pinch it off someone else!

They said they would send the trophy as soon as possible and would get my £100 worth of Brooks vouchers to me asap :) Ah well, easy come, easy go

I'm sure its not mine though Hipps :) Aren't they funny though? Still managing to be incompetent ages after the event!

Oooh, I think the trophy is rightfully yours Jen :) and I also think this could happen if the 1st person in your category wasnt who the number said they were..i.e. someone racing under someone else's name and they ave had the good grace to fess up?

After all the praise I have given this race, not to mention all the positive publicity I gave it at its inception, I am truly miffed that I continue to read negative comments about it.

You glass half empty bar stewards!!!

RANT RANT RANT! :-(

Excuse me? I'm not ranting, I'm happy :)

I apparently won it fair and square because the lady ahead of me was *even older* (I know its hard to imagine such a thing) so she got the V65 prize and I got the V60. The vouchers and the trophy will be sent soon :)
