The south is much flatter than North Manchester, Bury etc, at least until you get down to the Mersey valley (mostly in Stockport, rather than Manchester proper).

whether its a business venture or not, its no good peeps moaning about the lack of marathons / races and then when one comes along it - its to expensive, its to far, the course is rubbish, the goody bag is rubbish, its not as good as Wilmslow half (;-)) etc etc
