Loved the duck too. I also said he was like a young Stephen Fry, not just in looks, the way he spoke too.
I missed the beginning as hadn’t realised it was an 8pm start but will go back. (So never saw the person that was ill)

Just on catch up. It actually really annoys me that they can't give them a normal room temperature environment to do their best in.
But I suppose it adds jeapody. I just find it frustrating and a bit unfair.

I think it's fair as they're all in the same boat so it's the best person in the same circumstances, plus, makes them think outside of what they're used to.
Shame the duck didn't get star baker but a deserved winner.
Hazel to go first for me so far.

Not unfair as in making things uneven between bakers, just unfair as in a bit harsh. An unfair test.

Nah, it's meant to be a challenge, they're supposed to be some of the best amateur bakers in the country. Can't make it too easy for them. However, from the VT for next week, maybe there are issues...

I don't think they deliberately set out to create a difficult area to bake in. But the "tent" is part of the DNA of the programme, so it just so happens that sometimes they are cold, sometimes they are hot and sometimes it is just right!!

Yes. And it's the same for everyone, so a level playing field in every sense of the word.
