Not much chance of getting lost biking as there is an 'motor bike out rider' at the front stopping at major turns ect to show u the way aswell.
also a 'bike wagon' following up the rear ! with a bike mechanic just in case.You will be well looked after.
Oh yes have you seen the phone No's for the stop off points so you can order grubb 'Hot' when your 20mins away.(info on main GBC site)

There are water refuels/stop at 30-60-90 ish miles.

Not sure if this helps : I down loaded the Walking files – They have 4000 points in each route. My Garmin 60cxp will not except files of that size. So using the PC software ,there is an option in the track properties which allows you to reduce the number of points. I set this to a lower number and reduced the number of points to 100 for each track (this has no effect on the quality of the track) resaved and now the routes are ok and loaded.

Brilliant, ill try that out. I did manage to view day one, then remap with less points. But just reducing it would take alot less time than remapping!
Excellent news on water stops. 2 bottles it is.
Phoning ahead for food?! I'm never that organised!

I'm running days 3 and 4. Does anyone have info on the distance to checkpoints each day? I've looked on the website but there seems to be more info for the cyclists than for runners/walkers. I have a route description for day 3 which seems to have only 2 checkpoints.
