I can confirm that description too. Very proud of MrB - he had nothing in the tank for the last 40 miles but kept going. They said that today was the easiest course of the four days. I can see how tough this challenge is now...
That is it for me this year - work beckons on Friday and Saturday and having been burning the work/play candle at both ends for the last two weeks, I feel it is time to be sensible and have a rest tomorrow. Next year...
Good to see you, island!

Good luck everyone. I can confirm that I too have not started day 2. With my lack of training miles I know I wouldn't have made it back today. Great barrow challenge is truely that. I think I would have had 70 odd miles in me today but no way could I 'hold on' for 50. Last 20 yesterday were grim, had to go to that dark and painful place just to finish. Last 10 were probably slowest ever, felt like it anyway, kept looking at garmin, '8miles to go' '7.9miles to go' '7.8miles to go' etc etc. Nearly broke me!
Anyway hope you guys still out there are staying strong. Good luck.

Barrow, see you next time.
