Well done, BW.
I'm sorry you couldn't carry on, island. Are you going to give it another go next year?
How is everyone else doing?

I am enjoying the Challenge and the new route each day. Halfway ! It is a bit weird having a starting window for runners between 8 and 10, there are some people I haven't seen yet !
I liked the route, east today (south on Friday, west on Saturday) and through Ickworth Park and Nowton Park, both lovely. The only bit I didn't like was through Risby, where some of the trucks weren't giving me much space

Today went well for me too today, much better course. Well done BW, 20mins faster is impressive, I was about 19mins slower. Not looking forward to the increase in road though over the next 2 days. Water stations could have been more frequent but the route marking and organisation is first class otherwise.

one of the organisers told me that they had intended to have more water stations, but they were going to be staffed by the army and they pulled out at the last minute.

Half way thru & still going strong,27 miles run yesterday & 125 bike today, legs felt better for 'spin out' lol. must say that i run with a '500'ml hand bottle & that suited me well all way to next water stop.

BW. I can conferm that the Army are big let downs, they promised so much but came up with diddly & to make it worse they (a certian person ) didnt have the decency to let us know .so littrally plan b had to be put together with just a week before the event. So much for 'Help the Hero's' !!

well ... you're doing very well as far as I am concerned. There's an impressive number of red arrows out there, and I've enjoyed both days, especially the route through Ickworth today. I've been carrying drinks on a bum belt and have been fine. Looking forward to tomorrow ...
