I like Sound of the Sirens! Did you tell me about them? Did we see them at Y Not? Or maybe I saw them at BD??

That's a fair bit of activity you've got going on there Joopsy. Me, I've got ...
Willie Watson
The Residents Night Beats Bodega Lemon Twigs Colter Wall Savoy Brown The Blinders William the Conqueror Samantha Fish Low Cut Connie Gwenno Lincoln Durham
Plus (non-music)
Tom Stade Bill Burr Alan Bissett
Out of all of the above I'd strongly urge EVERYONE who's got even a passing interest in live music to see Low Cut Connie. See them once and I'll guarantee you'll go again the next time they tour.

Cavey, think they played Y not. I may just see them now as Drahla are in London the same night and I'm liking them very much.

First Latitude announcement this morning. The headliners are all a bit meh; George Ezra, Snow Patrol and Lana del Rey) but plenty to recommend it further down the bill incl; Underworld, Loyle Carner, Sigrid, Tom Grennan, Cat Power, Khruangbin, Anna Calvi, Primal Scream, Gomez, RB Coastal Fever and Nadine Shah ... and that's not to mention some pretty decent comedy acts.
Having been 8 year in a row I was thinking about giving it a miss this year (it's a LONG drive from Scotland) but on the strength of the above, I reckon I'm probably in for this year too. Anyone else on here been ?

No Jeff it's one that I've never fancied. That said if I only went on the strength of headliners I'd never go to a festival.

I go occasionally for the day, as it's 'local' to me. Not camped but may be tempted to this year!

All depends what you're looking for in a festival Joopsy. I'm an old hand at it, incl about a dozen T in the Parks (which is about as different from Latitude as you can get) so these days I'm quite happy to go a medium sized event with a wider range of music and other attractions (comedy, literature, dance etc) so Latitude absolutely fills all the criteria for me (apart from being helluva far away). The camping is very civilised too 1step. As you'll know it's very much a 'middle class' event, for want of a better description, so no problem with drunkenness and unruly behaviour like e.g. TITP. Also the toilets are as good as I've ever seen at any festival and showers, hair straightening facilities etc available too (if that's your thing).
Yeah, I've just talked myself onto it. I'm DEFINITELY going again this year !
