Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think most bands have such a band of followers who spend a fortune following them around. Readers have a very "loyal" set of groupies that go to all the gigs in Europe, buy all the merch etc.

I'd love to have the time and money to do so. Because if I had I could find loads of better things I could do with it!

There is an American group called Airborne Toxic Event. Not very big in the states at all, yet when I went to see them in Manchester there was about a dozen who had travelled over to follow them in their UK tour.... Totally bonkers

Last Friday I rocked up at 6 Music Festival to see Pixies, Lucy Dacus and Idles on the same bill. The best sound ever at a gig which was unsurprising given it was being recorded. All on iplayer now. Venue and crowd was a bit shit TBH, having seen Idles a number of times this was quite a mild affair.

Expecting Yard Act to more of a riot.

Then October Drift, War on Drugs, Teenage Fanclub and The Mysterines for April. Passing up chance to see Pip Blom on the basis I have enough on.

I'm impressed with everyonesg gigging.
I've skunk anansie in Norwich in a couple of weeks.
Sadly missing Blondie in Manchester as couldn't make rearranged date.
Then Slow readers in Norwich in Sept. Bit sparse really! Especially as I'm spend large chunks of my life in Derby and Nottingham this year!

We had Royal Blood on Saturday cancelled last minute because of illness.

And now rearranged for next Monday! I'm used to waiting a year for postponed gigs, not a week.

Just back from seeing The Beths in London. Bloody excellent as ever.

And tomorrow/tonight I will be seeing... er... The Beths in Brighton.
