Went with Hendo last night to see Sprints in Hackney. Best gig this year, they were incredible.

Not heard of them. One to watch out for.
Just had the Trades 'what's on' email. Gaz Coombes & Claire Grogan (she was up there with Wendy James for a young flanker) playing in the next couple of weeks. And both sold out by the time I checked

And they've got The Snuts on in April who have also sold out. Gutted.
Need to pay more attention.

I saw the Snuts a couple of years ago, hated them. They came across as trying to be as arrogant as the Gallagher’s without the talent to carry it off, and that first album is bang average. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over missing them (in my opinion of course). There are so many better bands out there without the backing they’ve had.

Is it me, or are band names getting more random and meaningless?

However: Tropical Fuck Storm Psychedelic Porn Crumpets King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
There you go Dio. Nice normal names of nice normal bands I have seen relatively recently.

Nothing new really. Olivia Tremor Control and Neutral Milk Hotel had out there names a few decades ago
