Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Would be good if they announced the qualifying times a year in advance. Then people would have a definate target to aim for. Can't think of anything worse than working hard for months to get a GFA time only to discover the times have changed meaning you don't qualify :-(

i thought that, plb, would have been much fairer if the changes announced were for 2015.

But they need to see how many people qualify first. And the majority of gfa qualifications come from VLM on the first place.

Ah I see how it works now.

Better get down to some serious training. VLM over and Loch Ness to train for. I'm also hoping, if finances allow, doing the Glen Ogle Ultra. I really do need to lose this excess weight I've gained since last October. Can really feel the difference and it's not good. Time for action I think.

Potentially, yes, it can change every year. I have heard that the senior men times have changed 4-5 times in the past decade.

blimey, well done, plb!

i did a 1 min run/2 min walk for 30 minutes with my son yesterday (he signed up for the olympic park run, too, and is hideously unfit (and somewhat overweight)) and didn't suffer any ill effects.

so i'm just off to try a 2min run 1 min walk round my flattish 2 miles circuit. fingers crossed it won't set me back.
