Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I stand corrected, Badgo. I went straight from a 310xt to a 920xt - but have only ever done the 'route' thing on edges - an old 800 specifically.

I can get the file up into basecamp now - but apparently that doesn't support export to 910.

Previously, I've had to convert the GPX file to a Garmin course (.crs or .tcx) using gpsies, then uploaded to the watch via connect.

I couldn't tell you if it works now though as it's been a few years since I last tried with my 310

I'm about 300 miles away from my 310xt at the moment, so can't play with that :) I might have a tinker with it at the weekend if Rosehip is still stuck. Think any solution should probably go into the FE wiki.

oi you
If the 910XT is similar to the 310XT then my guess would be that it's not possible to import a GPX file as you're trying to do it. The 310 manual implies that courses are either a route you've already run, or one you have created on Connect.
You could try playing with bikeroutetoaster.com which will import a GPX and claims to export direct to Garmin, but via Communicator plugin and ANT+ (I think), or you can use a number of other formats, TCX for instance.
At worst you could re-create the route in GC having viewed it in BRT.

I used files from a lot of sites for my 310, and it's fairly good at reading different formats if you can get them into it in the first place, which was easy with communicator. The manual is really telling you the routes you can expect official support with :)

I think it all worked with communicator, but importing a non-run course to GC doesn't seem possible in any format.

Can courses be shared on GC?

Yes, if they're public you can easily share a link.

I think Badger is right when he says Garmin left Ant+ user out to dry, I struggled to do a few things with Express/Connect which is why I am stubbornly sticking with Ant Agent/GTC
