By the way, I read somewhere that Garmin don’t recommend using bike computers on the wrist. The reason was something like the are designed to be mount flat and so don’t adapt well to arm swing with watches which have algorithms to cope with such things. Might be worth doing a couple of runs with it hand held to see it you notice and GPS issues.

CW that did cross my mind! I will do that before I invest. Mind, GPS isnt the issue here, as I only want it to monitor HR. IF i mage to run more than 100 metres before my HR starts doing disabling stuff, I'd be happy. In fact, I may not mind holding it in my hand anyway...

Thanks EP!
I think i shall order the adapter set and a spare strap set. My Garmin gets rattled no end on the bike and has always bern fine. It has a touch screen, so holding it isn't going to be a great option...
