Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

If I had that choice I would get something with dual-band GPS, it's just so much more accurate. This comes in handy for a lot of the GPS-based Fetch games :-) There's a review of such devices here: support.garmin.com

I've had my forerunner 55 for nearly a year now and been very happy with it. I'd not had a GPS watch before, so I don't have anything to compare it with, but it does what it needs to do (for me), the battery life is good, I can easily ready the screen (even with out my glasses on) and it isn't too big and bulky.

I went to a Garmin Forerunner 55 when my Forerunner 35 earlier this year and am pretty happy with it. It’s a fairly basic in comparison with some other sport watches but not too much extra when compared to the 35. I’m not overly keen on the basic watch time display, but does everything I need for my running, walking and occasional cardio work.

Eynsham Red I didn't like the default watch display on my 45 either. You can easily change it to one you prefer.

Eynsham Red I think the mode is called Watch Face and you can scroll through. I found the default one not that easy to read.

I like my Vivoactive 4 because it's more of a "leisure" watch than a sport one particularly (though it's fine for my running time, distance and pace too). I like that I can use it to pay (no card or phone required when out running) and when not running I have it buzz me with messages on my phone and my phone is always on silent. A little wrist based phone alerter! Not necessarily everyone's watch requirements, I realise! :-) G

I changed the watch face of my 55 too - I tried a few thigns, but settled on a tradiaitonal watch face for the main bit, and then digital time, date, battery and heartrate as the insets.

Got something to say?
