Watched that one in Sheffield!! Just off one of the main commuter roads into the city centre. Went out at half-time to get a drink from the shop opposite. Not a single car.

I vaguely remember half the people I was with had to go early for an exam I'd already completed.

Wouldn’t have rated my chances of knocking out a decent exam after that….I remember getting the first train into London, usually mainly labourers but this time rammed. We were oiled when we spilled off, and into the pub opposite the office.

It was, on the positive, coming home for that short spell between Owen’s opener and Rivaldo’s leveller….

If I have understood the rules right, Czechia beating Turkey would mean that England's next game is one of Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania or Belgium rather than the Netherlands. Georgia beating Portugal also works.


Think its now down to Slovakia or Netherlands? So assuming everyone here is wanting the Czechs to win along with me? As Slovakia are plucky but not as dangerous as a misfiring Netherlands.

I think our semi final path would be Romania / Austria / Hungary or Turkey if Turkey stay second.
