I actually thought United would win today, and on another day they could have. But we’re still shite, it just so happens every body else is apart from the top two. We are now exactly the same points away from City as we are from Burnley.

It is a fine line, Fernandes puts the penalty away and United win. Should Ronaldo have taken the penalty? Unfortunately it is already history.

Anyone who stutters before a spot-kick deserves to miss. Jesper Olsen started the trend and I personally hate it. Any able-bodied professional is capable of taking a few strides and kicking the ball normally. It wouldn't happen at a free kick or corner so why for a penalty other than to make the keeper move one way. In my opinion, it's unsportsmanlike conduct. I hope it's something the game's lawmakers will act on at the end of the season.

Hardly unsporting, he missed, helping the other team to win! He could play for the Corinthians. United were unlucky though, could,maybe should have had another pen, equally Fernandes could, maybe should, have gone for the studs up.
