Bale's double last night was magnificent. What a waste of talent these last few years have been....maonly at Madrid, but should've been used more by Moaninho at Spurs too.

The waste of talent is substantially down to Bale. He could have got a move elsewhere (with a pay cut), but was happy to phone it in and work on his golf handicap.

Even returning to Spurs he rocked up unfit and played with a fraction of the passion he conjures up for Wales, compare to Lingard’s fitness and attitude when he got a loan to West Ham at the same time.

He needs to show any club manager he’ll put the effort in, like he does Wales, before they are going to start him every week.

I feel it worth noting that Palace players were involved in both the England goals.

Elsewhere, Dover Athletic threw away a 5-2 lead at Wrexham losing 6-5.

Tell you what this is best Palace team since the early 80s and early 90s.

The lads that played tonight all very good. Mitchell is unreal.

No criticism of Bale from an Welsh supporters (any criticism would be of poor management of him and his talent) - the atmosphere at the game in Cardiff the other night was brilliant

Whilst not a Wrecsam fan, would love to see them back in the EFL - I have really enjoyed the posts and the publicity from their "Hollywood" owners

International break living up to its name and being dull as dishwater, as proven by Canada getting to the World Cup - what next? New Zealand? zzzzzz

Only fun thing is Italy losing out.

Place your bets now for the number of teams to withdraw from the World Cup finals due to Humanitarian concerns - my bet is a fat zero, albeit Jordon Henderson might become the new global Marcus Rashford and boycott it himself by not being picked.

Canada getting to the world cup is quite the story though.

Italy was an upset for the ages. But it makes the Portugal/North Macedonia game routine rather than a huge stakes battle with Italy.

Putin’s little adventure has also dampened things otherwise we’d have had a Scotland/Ukraine game, potentially leading to a Wales/Scotland winner takes all. And potentially a Poland/Russia game.

They would have been lively….

The Q’d teams friendlies have been shit though.

Ah, the beautiful game, remember that? Let's put down some jumpers and have a socially-distanced kickabout. Long shots only, and no hugging and kissing.
