I bet quite a lot when younger and lost more than I could afford before I largely gave up. I can see how it could easily become a real problem though.

A few years back I opened an online account and over about 18 months I turned £20 into about £200.

Vaporflys became available and I withdrew my loot leaving £6 behind to get the shoes. The bookie suspended my account and wanted all sorts of id to unsuspend. I just said give me my £6 and close the account. Not bet since.

Not brilliant but Hungary are as good as out with Poland winning in Albania. Four points needed with Albania (h) and San Marino (a) to come, so I'm not at all bothered with only getting a draw tonight.

Mason Mount is a football genius. How can anyone stay on the pitch for 90 minutes - never substituted, never does anything bad, never does anything good. He's just sort of there, always.

I wish I'd had that ability - I was always do nothing good but plenty bad!
