Not quite as significant as Pix's great improvements, but this morning I managed to finish off my set with a sub-minute 66yd/60m (the pool I go to is 30m). As a few of you will know, I've struggled to regain swimming form after illness and to be able to knock off 1200m and finish with a 57sec final two lengths is quite a milestone for me. Like Pix, I will keep on working at it :-)

I was just looking at my St**va feed and it occurs to me that in swimming all things are relative. I follow a guy named Richard Anderson, he's [I suppose] an elite triathlete and has won a few decent races, coincidentally he has the FKT on the Frog Graham Round. Nice guy .... and what a flipping swimmer, his session this morning was 3,281 yds at an average of 1:17.

I don't understand how that is even possible, he must have an outboard motor attached.

We are currently swimming at about the same pace NE. I am limited by technique and shoulder flexibility at around 1:40/100 when fit and on form

Incidentally Covid killed off my FGR plans in 2020 and I have no plans to go back until at least next year

That’s a very decent pace to be able to keep up for 2 miles.

I'm pleased to hear you're even considering having a crack at the FGR, are you on the Facebook group? Please do get in touch if I can be of any help at all.

Yes, I am on the FB group. Will keep you in mind when I get round to firming up plans - living in the SW I didnt think it wise during covid to travel for a risky-ish activity

Thank you for that. I had a few uncomfortable discussions with the Asst Chief Constable of Cumbria over that period because of people transgressing lockdown rules and attempting the FGR, I could have done without it if I'm honest.
