I was under the impression that the running would be off road as JJ mensioned I think bradgate park and beacon hill. the prob is that from the uni it is a couple of miles to get to off road!

We haven't made any firm decisions on the route for the run yet, Chris - we're looking closely at it and i'm going out to Loughboriough some time this week to do a recce. At present I'm thinking of a mixed terrain run from the Uni up into the Charnwood hills/woods and back: Advantages are that cars will parked up and secure, preventing massive convoys in the area and providing facilities for non-runners.

I'd love to hear running suggestions from anyone with good local knowledge - fmail or on here.

Times are also approximate. I'm a somewhere near the front of the mass runner and i would expect to do 10 miles in about 1:20. I know there are people who might take less than an hour and many more who will take 1.30 to 2 hours. I'm kind of expecting that the run will ease any rush on check in and lunch and that a two hour window will be plenty for lunch. Until i know how many people will actually be there and need to be accomodated i'm not sure that I can be more precise than approximate timings. The schedule will, I'm sure see some regular updates.

Santa: All en suite rooms. :)

Pudds can pitch a tent and use a bucket in her room if she likes, but I'd prefer not to know the details of what people get up to in their rooms.

That goes double for HarryB. :p

For some people, Loughborough is a long way (Scots, South Coast etc). Will there be an option for an additional night stay beforehand and hence adding a pre-piss up piss up to the agenda?

18th & 19th September, Loughborough.

Here's the detail so far: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/fetchstock.php

In summary:

Running (a race, proper course and all that), a bit of running-related stuff like maybe lectures, coaching sessions, physios, a nice dinner, a shedload of isotonic shandy and maybe a dance off and a bit of bare knuckle boxing, bedtime, then some gentler running-based activities the following morning, then maybe lunch.

If you're up for it, join the group below for an fmail update when we have more details.
