I think the number of us killing our bugs every day is a small proportion of the total registered to play but, I agree, 26 sounds like a lot. Perhaps, they're one of those that cycle commutes regularly and only gets chance for a bit of debugging on the weekend? I'm sure you'll be closely observing their habits for as long as your circles overlap ;)

I can’t kill all my bugs. My route would have to be far too winding and I’ve have to run down loads of dead ends.
On any given run I’ll have done well to get a third of them!

It's taken a really concerted effort on my part to get to the point where I only have one or two bugs to get most days. It probably took me a week or so to get them all the first time (having signed up and then ignored it for a bit).

I think there are fewer active players than even a few weeks ago, as I'm not clearing all the bugs daily, but I'm in the high 40s on the leaderboard.

I played actively for a few months last year to get the 10,000-point badge, but have let it slip since then. I currently have 19 bugs (mine!) in my circle. My total score now is -32. That's based on running in my circle no more than one or two days a week and having a few flowers on the go elsewhere.

So, if I wanted to try and maintain my score above zero for a set period of time (which is a thing I think I have read about some people doing), it would be possible to do that without squishing bugs at all.

There’s 18 bugs from one other player in my circle, we must have a very similar home point. I’ve infected 7 of them a few times with the worst at -24!

Hi Wozzle and welcome to Fetch :-) Your run (bike, walk) also has to go out of your mile circle, or the bug stays put. As your logged runs are fairly short, I suspect this might have happened.

Also, you need spaces outside the brackets for the pictures to show.

Regarding bug total clearance: I've been playing from at or around the start. From when bug-herding was abolished, I doubt if I've had thirty days bug-free. (Best ever score: 7444.)

Must just be me then. Think I've been bug free most of the year, I wasn't able to collect the day after my Covid jab in April as I wasn't allowed to play out because I was poorly. I drive my wife mad with it, if I haven't already cleared my bug on the day then any walk or bike ride we do involves clearing it!

Think there are definitely fewer players at the moment though, think I'm in 9th and I'm not collecting masses as there aren't loads of players near me.
