Cuddy
-1.8lbs this week. Happy with that considering I've had quite a few treats this week. But today I'll eat some bread! Haven't had bread for weeks!

I hoped vaguely to get under sixteen and a half stone by Christmas, and this morning I was sixteen and a half dead. That'll do!
I made a second batch of low carb mince pies yesterday, and today have bought some garlic and rosemary roasted almonds. Together with some very dark chocolate, these will do me for Christmas treats. The low carb high fat eating style is so satiating, there isn't a lot of room for extras!

That's really well done on reaching your target Barbara!
I've had a very giant, bready lunch, followed by chocolates, as a I promised myself. But to be honest, realising I can do without.
The bad news is that apparently I have stage II posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, as I've lost the ability to do a heal raise on my left foot and I'm in intermittent pain with it. So the orthotics are back in, the elastic bands are coming back out for strengthening exercises and need to do lots of stretching. I'm hoping that I can stop it getting worse/rehab it without my arch collapsing completely.
So considering that my extra weight obviously puts not needed weight on my feet, I am more than committed to getting the extra weight off, forever. Here's to 2017 and BMI of 25 or less

I put on 3.5lb in 2 days last Sunday/Monday after reintroducing pastry, cake and alcohol. I've tried to be moderate during the week, but have been staying with family for a couple of days. I didn't put on any more weight despite trifle, mince pies, more alcohol and chocolate. I think the weight increase will be glycogen and it should go quickly once I'm past the Christmas feasting.
I'm having healthy days in between the festivities to keep myself in check, so I don't revert to binge eating all my favourite things. I've only bought a few things this year - 1 box of mince pies, no tins of chocolates, a small Christmas cake, no sausage rolls and no pork pie, crisps or bread. I'm hoping that will help!

Commiserations on the tendon, Cuddy - and we will be around to kick you up the bum....err... I mean.... encourage you in your commitment to your own health.
GM - I'm sure you're right about the glycogen, and that it will go away pretty quickly afterwards.
One of the tools in my chest is intermittent fasting, and I'm a fan of Dr Jason Fung. He talks about fasting and feasting - you eat healthily most of the time, but come Christmas, or your birthday, or family wedding, who want to be the party pooper who nibbles a lettuce leaf? Then, after the feast, you fast.
Here's to enjoying the feast... but make sure you really ENJOY it folks - taste, and savour. For afterwards...... we do what we know we need to do.

I've had a look at the sparsely populated spreadsheet and think that Rev is this week's biggest loser. Well done to everyone who managed a loss this week with so many temptations around. I'll reset the spready.
