Oooh, we could have a "fight-to-the-death" competition for our FLM places :-)

We could call it Big Fercer :-)

Does not wanting to run with the parents of my students count as reason not to join my local club? There is a somewhat local about a 30-45 drive from me.....i'd be proud to be a FERCer though....if I was able to get a fetch shirt :o)

I'm already a member of a running club but at most races I'm the only runner from our Club... Supposing I become a FERCer and I enter a race naming FERC as my "Affiliated Club" and run in a Fetch vest - would I and the other FERCers then be eligible for a team prize if there were sufficient FERCers finishing high enough in the placings?

This is very interesting - well done Sir Fetch.

I'm not sure what the point of joining would be, as I'm already a member of another club. BUT.... joining to help get FLM places is something I'd think about.

Of course we'd have to think about how we'd go about distributing the FLM places fairly. I propose that everyone has to commit to doing it in fancy dress, and all those people that have run FLM in fancy dress in prior years get lifetime exemption

Agree?

Fancy dress? I thought that mankini was your regular running attire...

I'd join for all the reasons mentioned above, not being able to get to a local club on time etc... But will we have a club night and club training to do?

I can't wait to be a FERCer :-)

Second claim for me though :-)

I bet we end up with the largest running club in the country... :-)

I'm in too. Shift work and family commitments would only enable me to run with the local club once a month, at best.
