Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Scents are so evocative, aren't they? I associate lilac with my birthday in May, and nearly fifty years after I left home in South Wales I still feel a bit cheated when the lilac in my garden here comes out 'too early' :-)

Off to read Hann's blog now...

drat! Visited my parents yesterday, and forgot to take a photo of an item for the treasure hunt. Oh well, back up plan is to remember to take one next time I see them (unfortunately that is 1st Sept, but I don't mind)

Here's my attempt, with 2 gaps filled with non-Aug pics.
No numbering stories, from Greenland or anywhere, other than to note that German uses number & tens, eg fünfunddreißig (35), like 4 & 20, so maybe that's the root?

Thanks Tom Tom - one of the tougher months for me

um I hear what you say about taking pics of peoples door knockers. I felt the same about sunflowers in someone’s garden. Being transient in the villages doesn’t help either. 😳
