My nipples don't bleed, never had that problem.

Mr Uniqua on the other hand, has been known to come back looking like someone's shot him in the chest.

You don't bend your toes/foot if thats what you mean

You move your foot up as if to touch your shin, when you rest your foot on the floor and your foot is bent up as far as it goes, you will be resting on your heel.

Uniqua - if you go to Alexandra Park 5k you may be in the top 3 possible win if you run sub 20 mins, today sub 20 would have won, think the first lady was 20:3x?

I'm not there yet Jacobi, but I can see I will get there now with a bit more speedwork. I've learned if I can hold a speed for 400m I can get my body to hold it for much longer. Hence the reason I'm crap at the 100m, but I think I may become fairly OK over a 5k.

Plantar flexion is the opposite movement to the one you describe like when you push your foot down on the accelerator so plantar dorsifelxion is the movement in the opposite direction. Yep I sometimes do that at my desk actually the icing has helped to reduce the inflammation quite bit and I'll try some trigger point therapy in a bit but I'm a bit of a whimp as it hurts to do it

I have a new book (yes another one!) it's full of workouts by famous runners, perhaps you should try the 400s with a fast float? Rob de Castella did it, you basically to 8 x 400m with 200m fast float - not a jog between intervals.

Or Zatopek's 100x 400m intervals - kill two birds with one stone - a long run and intervals ;)

SE- laughing about the hair thing. I think its a shame that its harder for boys to get individual with their hair- girls can do so much.

He had a mohican till I cut it earlier this week cos he got fed up with it. not a real hardcore one- just short round the sides with the middle longed that we spiked rather than made in to the trad mohican.

Next time we're going for Hi-viz yellow again but with a red stripe down the middle. Thinking of registering him on here as Fetchhead!!

Nice one on the Video Homer, never seen myself run so quite interesting to look at :-)

Wasn't sore from the mile more tired than anything. Think it's given me more confidence in what speed I can hold, would also like to sub 20 at 5k in the near future!
