Decided I've done enough on the Humber MK2. Not going to piss about trying to get decals on for a 1:76 Model.
I've learned a bit on this one. Things like the instructions aren't always right and to paint bits before you glue bits on top of those bits even if the plan says that's ok.
I'm welcoming tips on painting though, how do you get the right viscosity? I tend to end up with blobs or to thin.
You can reduce the viscosity with water quite easily. I’d add a wash over the top to highlight detail.
A HB pencil is also great for detailing. You can apply and rub with a finger for detail. Just experiment, I Nick my other half’s old make up brushes for blending !!
I can't believe that we've got Crafts, Gardening, Computer Games, but not model cars, trains...!
Just don't call them toys!
My particular hobby was 1/10th scale radio controlled car racing. I'm now looking to get into radio controlled planes. We have some Airfix model builders in here and Lego builders too. Any type of model vehicles really! Planes, trains, automobiles... boats, helicopters, anything! Come join in! G
