Will Crash
Thank you. The Bucaneer is with her new owner now. Just started on a B 24 Liberator for a local museum.
Off loaded all my RC planes to a local club for new members.
I’m going to mod up my Tamiya TT-01 chassis next
Drones are cool though

I'm in the process of moving house and have just dug all my old control line models out of the attic. Hopefully I'll be able to fly a few of them this year, I will have my own field at the back that should be perfect for the job!

We were discussing control line today NE. Diesel, back in the day, apparently!
My Apprentice flew for first time today. Still problems with the trainer-student set up. Was also too windy for me to do much. But my instructor got it down in one piece. Better than his own which crashed on take off with damaged motor mount.
Top tip from another guy was for me to get a second, instructor's transmitter, get it all set up with my plane, so I can hand to anyone to help me. So searching ebay for a half price used version. G

Always diesel, though I will confess to a few CL forays with glow. You might recall my post from a page or two back that I have been buying up old PAW diesels on eBay. I grew up not far from the PAW factory and when were were kids it was relatively easy to go there and persuade Gig Eifflaender to sell you a cheap needle valve or replace the compression screw. PAWs were buggers for snapping their needle valves in the event of a "tent peg" incident.

p.s. the more well-heeled in the control line world used Olivers. Original Olivers go for a fortune nowadays.

I got bored and have started construction on the next lump of Lego. Not quite done enough to warrant any pics yet not least as it only has 2 legs currently. Well leg stumps. Minor issue moving the Star Destroyer backwards to make space in that the wee ship at front bashed some stuff and fell off, i'll retrieve that later. Oh think some of the top bits fell off too but again can get that later.

Yay. I took off! 5 flights with instructor doing take off and landings. 6th one I did my own take off! Just need to nail a landing! Great fun. Totally sunburnt - at field for 6 hours! Watched some amazing flying, and one terrible crash. Beautiful plane and great pilot - completely smashed to matchsticks! The plane not pilot! Can't wait for next try. G

So a return to assembling plastic things after prepuberty has resulted in this
Not great but some of the standards I've seen on here, but it's a very cheap kit, less than a tenner! And it's 1/72 scale, basically I couldn't see Jack shit of it 🤣
The kit is revel, a reissue apparently of airfix from the 70/80's hence the little diarama board.
They do a range of these. I'm not really impressed with the kit but I'm going to do a couple more to learn the skills without wasting to much cash then maybe move to Tamiya 1/32 stuff.
Over to the jury
