Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Watergrove parkrun, Tod parkrun, and then GT. Gives me a good excuse for being crap.

This is all assuming I'm in a fit state to drive!

A grand place to run. Did you stop off at the hall?

Noticed the door was hanging off the barn the other day, surprisingly. Things are usually well maintained on the estate.

Did you know about the threshold stone at the barn? It's one of the old Knaresborough Forest boundary stones.

We only stopped briefly on the track as we followed it round the enclosure - we didn't go in. We followed the track round to the wall and then up towards Simon's Seat.

Didn't notice if the door was off - looked ok from my brief view.

From left field, this comment, but in the 80s, my palaeography class used to translate many foilios of the originals of the Knaresbrough Court Rolls including customs, by-laws legal actions and place names from the 16th century, in Latin & in English.
