Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

eL Bee! and I had a trip to Kong today. Climbing time was limited by the buzzy one having to shop for shoes first (offers considered on a pair of used-but-still-good 5.10 Anasazi Blanco, size 10) and us having only been able to find a 2 hour disc parking space, but the wall was quiet and we had a decent session.

It was quiet when I went, although I got there just after opening. Even with a kids group and approaching midday when I left it wasn’t too bad.

Interesting session earlier. Went with the intention of trying the 7a again, so I could try it on fresh arms and legs.

There was someone else also projecting it. After initially getting my hands in a better position on my high point I came off, but it was 1/2 a step further than before. After watching the other person, we managed to work out the best way to get through that move which is the start of the crux.

We then fell off as we struggled with foot positions for the next move.
We then spoke to staff for some beta, but she hadn’t climbed it before. She has promised to climb it and record it so we can have a watch next time we go.

Good session, pleased that although it tired me a little I didn’t get pumped.

Had 3 hours on our local indoor wall. Not bad. I managed one 6a, and a lot of nice 5bs. I didn't try anything I couldn't do; I just didn't feel like I wanted to push it. And a slightly mad bit of bouldering.

The place was almost deserted, which mightn't be good for their finances, but was great for us.

We go at the end of the day for that reason. Just back in fact. Getting to know the Thurs evening crew as well. In fact one of them was taking the piss earlier which I take as a good sign.

I like to go on Monday mornings, when I'm usually 10 years younger than the average age... and I'm 60. Such a friendly atmosphere.
