Aw no. I don’t fancy going toe-to-toe with FS. He goes to the gym way more often than I do. And he’s taller than me now. Even if I beat him he’ll get his own back by putting things on shelves I cannae reach!

Tried playing a Dutch against Chunky Wizard in the league, didn't turn out any worse than my other games despite only knowing the first few moves! have mucked about with it a bit in rapid too. I fancy learning it : but as a black against d4 which I've rarely seen in the league it's not worth the time at the moment. Simon Williams (Ginger GM) plays it a lot and has a chessable course, plenty on you tube for it too. |

NB that Gotham video looks good, the Staunton is a pain, Ginger GM also likes the French so opens e6 and goes into the French if e4 played

Here’s where I did my 10 mins prep on Dutch Defence before playing James that time: |

Thanks for the game Maclennane, think it would have gone differently if you had moved your king out of the way rather than moving the knight back to block.

Angus (from last page), that was a well played pawn ending by you. Main thing is your q-side pawns were self supporting so white can never take the backward one without letting the other queen.

Thanks for the game Joophy, I made that particular screw up you mention whilst angry with myself for not spotting that move for your bishop until well after I'd moved, so I waited for your move vainly hoping you wouldn't spot it!
