Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Lovely :)
smart looking van - slightly longer than mine, I think?

We rarely get the awning out - seem to take the wind everywhere with us :;

We’ve almost abandoned using our awning as it doesn’t need much breeze to start it flapping up and down. It’s tolerable during the day but not at night.

Our awning is really useful at race events, but we’ve had to select the times and places we can use it. The flapping keeps me awake at night :-(

I bought good storm straps for the old van. Not sure if they will fit on the motorhome yet or not.

Something like this:

we have storm straps, but even so I'd never leave it out overnight - have seen the results of a roll out awning that the wind took over the top of the van it was on.

Don't like the idea of rolling it away wet either (can't get it out at home to dry it) so not much use as a rain shelter either unless we are confident it will dry out afterwards. Came with the van, in the summer on the right pitch it should be really useful :)

Our awning rail hasn't been fitted today as delivery has been delayed. Oh well not the end of the world just annoying

It’s a nice set up, Sarah. It does look longer than our 6m van.
We use our canopy quite a lot but roll it away in the evening unless the weather is dry and still. Our big awning rarely gets used these days - too noisy when it’s windy overnight.

It’s 6.3 metres long.
The awning has already been put away because it’s quite breezy. He only really got it out to check it was all OK.

That 0.3m will make quite a difference inside, space wise. Nice purchase :)
