It’s tolerable during the day but not at night.

Rosehip 6 Mar 3:14pm, 6 Mar 2025 34,668 posts	Quote Pin Rosehip we have storm straps, but even so I'd never leave it out overnight - have seen the results of a roll out awning that the wind took over the top of the van it was on. Don't like the idea of rolling it away wet either (can't get it out at home to dry it) so not much use as a rain shelter either unless we are confident it will dry out afterwards. Came with the van, in the summer on the right pitch it should be really useful

We use our canopy quite a lot but roll it away in the evening unless the weather is dry and still. Our big awning rarely gets used these days - too noisy when it’s windy overnight.
