We stayed at the Camping Bühlhof, but I remember there were possibly nicer smaller sites all around the area. We opted for easy and well-found as the kids were 3 and 6 months at the time. Which isn’t to say that Bühlhof wouldn’t suit you, but you’ll have more choice.

We toured there via the Rhineland (Bad Breisig) and the Moselle valley, stayed with a friend in Saarbrucken and then saw a bit of Strasbourg (as we went round and round the one-way system 🤣). It was a great trip! Probably not recommended with a toddler and a baby, but we made it
