Got home late last night, only 1 night spent sleeping in the van but have done 3100miles in 8days

3 countries

Climbed a mountain in the alps and one in the pyrenees.

Spent the last night in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Bought 48 bottles of Champagne from a Champagne House that started in 1735 and is still independent.

She ran flawlessly

Ah, so you went up the road climb? Tourmalet is a decent climb on bike or foot, iconic I guess :-)

Tourmalet is not far from Pic du Midi, the biggest top in those parts and a tremendous run up/down - it's a CP on the Grand Raid du Pyrenees, a pretty mean CP at 10,000ft :-o , higher than anything on the UTMB.

I don't have anything to judge it by, but 69 minus up the Alpe sounds pretty good :-)

My partner is an mtb rider so introducing her to some road icons.

Tourmalet is her 2nd mountain that hasn't been open at the top as I keep taking her to these places out of season :-)

This was her 2nd time up the alpe and a 20 min improvement. Sadly she remarked at half way that I has run it the night before in her time to half way.

Good job she likes me really.

Context for the climb is that breaking an hour on the bike is good , 1.09 running means being polite as you pass cyclists.
