There’s not much around Nethy Bridge.

There’s a large site at Grantown which I’ve heard is ok. Or you could try the Bowling Club at Tomintoul. I understand it’s fairly basic but great value (it’s literally their converted carpark, as far as I can tell). I haven’t stayed at either of these yet, but they’re both on the radar for this summer.

Camping and Caravanning Club has nice sites at Craigellachie and Tarland, but they’re probably further East than you were wanting to go.

Just looked at photos of the Grantown one, looks lovely. It's a nice town, but I tend just to drive past it these days. Will need to make a point of going.

Have a great trip Ronnie. We're van travelling up to Scotland tomorrow but not overnighting in it. But we are planning to wild camp/sleep out in it for the first time on Sunday night on our friend's farm in Northumberland :-)

I have a list of stuff to put in it, and the best arrangement of where everything goes.

We are going to Aden County Park but we are camping in our tent because we're going with friends who only have a tent, and our son wants to stay in it. We will take the van too 😊

We spent a night in the van a few weeks ago but made the rookie error of forgetting pillows, which led to shanksi snoring and me not getting any sleep! Apart from that the van experience was good. Will try again next month.

We had a lovely first trip away this year to Cromer this week, but the motorhome needs to go back to the garage as it has a serious electrical fault - a fuse melted and there was a strong smell of burning just after we set off home yesterday. The base vehicle is fine but the habitation electrics are now out of action until the fault is found and sorted. It's going to moho hospital on 1st June and will be away for a few days. No more trips until it's fixed :(

:-( GM that’s frustrating.

Enjoy the experience, Ronnie :-)
