Not the best image I'm afraid, but wondered what this little chap could be (last spot of my holidays). Is it a redshank? The legs were certainly a shade of red, but difficult to pick up on the bill.

Wriggling Snake
Hopless at waders.
I sat on my back step for 15 minutes yesterday.
House sparrow 2 Long tailed tit 8 blackbird 1 magpie 3 blue tit 2 jackdaw 6
wren 1 Robin 2 (they had a row) I couldn't work out shades of red either. 1 unidentified thrush
I should do that more often.

bonners--it would only be one of the redshanks (Redshank or Spotted Redshank) if it had any shade of red legs. Brr..wriggling Snake...I'm guessing the temperature was higher there than here in South Wales..step-sitting a no no at the mo! Nice selection of birds though. Lurgies abound, especially coughs right now, pity about yours angelrose.

Actually steve, it was the others with the lurgy - so far I've managed to avoid it. *crosses fingers as she types that* I went out on my bike instead and was surprised to see a load of oyster catchers on the beach amongst the gulls in one spot - most unusual for Bournemouth beach.
Nice parkrun spotting Heinz.

Never been to Arne, a couple of weeks back we were at Martin Mere, very cold, so sunny, and sun so low, we could not identify an awful lot, we are pants at it though...

Fragile Glass Bauble
Bullfinch outside my kitchen window this morning, a new one for my garden list. Of course it had gone by the time I had got my camera.
