Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I saw a song thrush behaving *exactly* like a giant treecreeper this morning. I had to look twice to work out what it was! We also have a starling on the estate that perfectly mimics a green woodpecker yaffle. It's bloomin' confusing around here at the moment :-)

Your birds are great to read about, still smiling at the starling talk. Unusually there's a sizeable flock regularly feeding in churned up pasture here - wonderful cheerful chatter noise

The moorhem and pair of mallards are still in evidence on the pond. I wonder if the previous owners jack russell was the reason there were no birds using the pond when we moved in?

DT wonderful bird run.
Suddenly, several chaffinches under the feeders. The LTTs are arriving as pairs not gangs.
Bloody squirrel! Daughter (Scotland) says the reds are just as naughty, even ignoring their squirrel specific feeder filled with sq. specific food 😂
