The BTO tracked cuckoos seem to be no farther north than Spain. bto.org |

Likewise, I had a slightest inkling I may have heard a raven yesterday. Though I can't be certain it wasn't "just" a crow to be honest.

I went on a deer hunt earlier today. Although ended up taking more pictures of birds than deer. Here : photos.app.goo.gl The buzzard pics were on the way out and on the way back. The buzzard didn't want me too close, but didn't want to leave the area and just swooped from very low tree to very low tree. It was only on the return that I realised there was another one above. So the mass of flying pics are 2 different birds. |

Anybody else got a plague of leaf beetles? We have dozens of them, probably willow leaf beetle, Lochmaea caprea; they seem to be everywhere. (I suspect this might be a local thing!)
