Red Squirrel
Saw an amazing murmuration of rooks this evening (or whatever you call their twilight gathering). Much slower than starlings and the turns were influenced by a small number turning around then all followed suit. They occasionally stopped to perch on trees, telegraph poles and fence posts. It was magical being underneath them flying over - Iā€™d estimate 5000 when all the sub-groups joined up.

Mark Cocker wrote an entire book around that behaviour, RS; Crow Country. It's quite a good read.
