Merlin picked up a black restart this morning š we do have cliffs just behind as well as 2/3 old quarrys in the village so not completely unlikely but wish I'd seen it.

A chiffchaff chiff-chaffing this morning, and still a couple of swallows around. Noisy Tawny last night. First Redwing have been reported, with more coming on North Easterlies later in the week. |

It is definitely the Time of the Second Chiffing. Did the lovely Monsal Trail parkrun in the Peaks this morning, and there were several chiffchaffs singing along the route.

Heard what I think was the lovely voice of a raven today a couple of times. Unfortunately didn't manage to see them, though I was struggling to see much!
