Dozens of curlew calling around here at the moment. Flocks of lapwing, too.

Rutland Water was fab in the sunshine yesterday - lots of ducks of many varieties, bonus singing Reed bunting posing in excellent light, marsh harrier and lifetime tick of male and female smew - not bad for an unplanned excursion to return a purse to Youngest’s partner after she left it here!

Osytercatchers and a curlew at Carsington today. We weren't going to go there but via Gelia was shut so we couldn't get to Birchover so went there instead.
