Parties of swifts back screaming outside work (none noticed at home yet), even if only 3 today. Think the record I saw last year was 9.
7 on my walk in this morning.

My app picked out a serge warbler today. I'll need to try to spot it.

French migrant?
I don't hear enough sedge and reed warblers to be able to separate them

Today's SWCP birds? On the Taw and Torridge estuaries, Barnstaple to Bideford. Loads more (very distant) Oycs, Shelducks etc. And a (probable) whimbrel. A bit small for a curlew. And buzzards and martins. But best pics? Oycs in flight. Squawking loudly. One pair, then an individual.

Brilliant pictures! About 30 swifts above the local duck pond last night. Amazing birds!
